Yesterday, Lana Del Rey shared a film teaser for her forthcoming new album Honeymoon out later this month that offered snippets of two previously unheard songs "Freak" and "Music To Watch Boys To." Today, the singer premiered the latter on Zane Lowe's Beats 1 show. Co-written by Lana and Rick Nowels, "Music To Watch Boys To" has been described many times as one of her "favorites on the album" and was meant to be the lead single instead of "High By The Beach" before executives at Interscope changed their minds.
With its breathy vocals, gauzy production and anguished lyrics, the song instantly floats dreamily into Lana's Honeymoon world sublimely straddling the line of pleasure and pain.
