L.A.'s The Neighbourhood stopped by KROQ's The Kevin and Bean Show today to debut their new single "R.I.P. 2 My Youth." As the first release since their 2013 debut album I Love You. and more recent #00000 & #FFFFF mixtape featuring French Montana and Raury released earlier this year, the highly-anticipated new song has a lot riding on it for the group's fans. They told KROQ, "I feel like it could really go for all of us as far as what has happened in our life in the past couple years and the awesome opportunities we’ve been able to have. I think kind of reflecting back on it—growing up per se, whether you want to or not. Sometimes your youth—some people have it taken away from them earlier and some people get to wait a little longer before you have to grow up, but either way the world kind of hits you."

In a visualette directed and produced by THE ENDS' Daniel Iglesias Jr., a young girl relishes in her youth against the band's signature stark black and white palette as singer Jesse Rutherford puts his youth to bed singing "close my eyes and cross my arms/ put me in the dirt let me dream with the stars." All hallucinogenic synths and monochrome keyboard lines, blood-pumping percussion surges through the song's veins in one more hook, heavy trip courtesy of the Califournians.

Listen to "R.I.P. 2 My Youth" in the video above and look for the song to be available on Spotify, Apple Music and other streaming services tonight at midnight. Look for the song to be on the band's forthcoming new album WIPED OUT! dropping Oct. 30.
