Rabit's "MoMA PS1 Warm Up" Mix For FACT

In case you were living under a rock last week, some of grime's biggest names stormed the MoMA PS1 warm up in New York. Skepta, Krept & Konan, Novelist, Slimzee, Maximum, Dark0 and more all gave our New York brothers and sisters a crash course in what grime truly means. It's difficult to pick out highlights since the whole thing was one long highlight, but here's Rabit's mix for the event to get you in the mood before you plunge down that rabbit hole (sorry).

James Zabiela's Mix For THUMP

The house, techno and breakbeat master mixes Kerri Chandler, Omar S, Trevino and Bicep into a solid hour (and a bit) of power.

Neil Landstrumm's Mix For Truants

A veteran with over two decades of experience under his belt, Neil Landstrumm's career is long, storied and remarkably eclectic. If there has ever been a common theme running through his music it's been a love of all things low-end. From techno to grime, Landstrumm has mastered pretty much every sonic discipline there is. Here the Scottish producer collects together a mixture of new and unreleased tracks ahead of what will surely be a memorable set at Fabric this weekend.

Faze Miyake's Mix For Boiler Room

The man behind the infamous "Take Off" riddim, Faze Miyake hit Boiler Room's London party with some of the hardest grime bangers the genre has to offer.

Nightwave's Mix For Nest HQ

Slovenian-born Maya "Nightwave" Medvesek's latest mix is a dizzying, space-age journey through icy eski synths, glistening arpeggios and thundering bass. If Nightwave drops a mix in any given week it's more-or-less a certainty that she'll appear in our Mixes Of The Week column. Not that we aren't discerning when it comes to putting these lists together, but with certain producers you just "know."

Slime's "Slumber Session" Mix For i-D

Classical music, film soundtracks, sultry R&B and classic rock all come together to tell the story of Geordie boy Will "Slime" Archer's influences.

Roman Flügel's Mix For Dekmantel

Recorded at Lente Kabinet back in May 2015, this mix from Roman Flügel is a two-hour voyage through house, techno, IDM and fully charged with rich, emotive electronics and Flügel's innate understanding of how to work a crowd. As ever with the man behind countless aliases (Acid Jesus, Eight Miles High, Warp69 and Alter Ego to name a few), he takes a lot of risks, throwing in some pretty leftfield choices that are bound to keep any crowd on its toes.

Marquis Hawkes' Mix For Solid Steel Radio

This is Marquis Hawkes' first time on Solid Steel Radio and we're pretty sure it won't be the last. The Berlin-based producer basically just nailed your summer playlist harder than John Cusack ever could. It's wide-ranging and takes in a tonne of different sounds and styles but one thing remains at the core: sunshine. Look out for cuts from Theo Parrish, James Mason, Mr Fingers, and Louis Armstrong. Yeah, you're in for a treat.

Carl Craig's "Detroit Love" Mix For Mixmag

Any time you see "Detroit" anywhere near a techno mix you know there's going to be at least something inside to enjoy. But when you see "Detroit" and "Carl Craig" in the same sentence, that's when you need to cancel the rest of your plans for the day and pay attention. Beginning with a masterclass in techno workouts, Craig gradually brings in more and more tribal elements until he's dropping peak time bangers and you don't know what hit you.
