Arthur Ashin best known as Autre Ne Veut is back to announce his forthcoming new album Age of Transparency and share a new video. Described as part two in a trilogy of albums, the album was produced by Ashin and mixed by Tony Maserati(Beyoncé, Notorious B.I.G., Lady Gaga). Discussing the albums themes, he explained "The title comes from marketing jargon. It’s a term for the place we're in now, where truth and transparency are just ways to sell things and honesty is its own kind of performance. ... Transparency is an impossibility. It’s more about trying to be transparent and falling on your face in the process."
The multi-instrumentalist's penchant for incorporating electronic, jazz and rock elements is clear in his new video for "World War 2." Directed by BANGS, the video features a naked Autre Ne Veut and partner (portrayed by Macy Sullivan) who appears latched onto him in a visual that is simultaneously sexual and disturbing.
