Watch Alessia Cara Make Her Television Debut On 'The Tonight Show' Backed By The Roots

Alessia Cara celebrates the announcement of her debut EP coming soon on Def Jam.

Yesterday, Alessia Cara took to Twitter to announce her debut EP Four Pink Walls (named after her bedroom) coming next month. The announcement arrives after a steady release of covers on SoundCloud and her original track "Here" went viral on the internet, spurning a tsunami and a record contract with Def Jam for the singer who just turned 19 earlier this month. What better way to celebrate than making her television debut last night in the famed 6B studio of The Tonight Show with The Roots backing her up. Performing her single "Here" and finishing with wide-eyed approval from Jimmy Fallon, it all made for one stunning debut and only a glimpse of the talent she is about to drop on all of us with her debut EP and album.

Watch the performance below and look out for the release of her debut EP Four Pink Walls out August 28 on Def Jam with her debut full length to follow later this year. For more of Alessia, check out our exclusive interview with the singer here.
