Toronto-based electro-pop trio WILDE have been our radar ever since they dropped “Flashlight,” the smooth-yet-haunting lead single from their forthcoming debut album. As they put the finishing touches on the record, the band has commissioned a few remixes, including this heater produced by Nick Catchdubs.

The song takes on a new life under the care of the Fool’s Gold Records overlord. Nick Catchdubs takes a glitchy electro-house approach to the tune, giving it plenty of bounce in between vocal chops. "'Flashlight' is a dark and brooding track, so we wanted a remix that would stay away from the original and change it up completely,” WILDE told Complex. “We wanted something that would make people move a bit more.” Catchdubs’ re-work does just that. The elegant chorus vocal hook remains intact, but the rest of the remix is transformative, turning “Flashlight” into a club-ready banger.

Listen to Nick Catchdubs’ take on “Flashlight” below, and stay tuned for more WILDE remixes by the likes of Esta, HMLT, Michael Imperial, and more.
