Head out to the Left Coast this morning, as singer/songwriter and MC, Jayy Starr debuts the video for her latest single, "Oowee," which features fellow West Coast mainstay, Joe Moses. If you're not yet hip to Starr, it's about time to get onboard, as she's a multi-talented MC, who not only proves her rapping skills on this release, but also shows that she can command the beat, with a pretty insane flow.
“I pour my heart into every track I make and I’m a perfectionist. I can finish a full song, go back and listen to it, not feel it, and start all over. Every song I make is a part of my legacy. Whether it be a club joint or something conscious, it has to mean something at the end of the day,” Starr explained to Complex.
While Starr is prepping the release of her highly-anticipated project, South Centralized, for next month, she is also out to show the world that she is much more than a rapper. “I sing, write, rap, produce, and engineer. I also act and direct. Once I get it in it’ll be a problem," Starr said. Check out the debut of the video above.
