Although he was raised on grime, a sound he says he found through Bebo in his teenage years, D A V E's music takes in wider influences like road rap, and Southern rap. There's still an undercurrent of grimy influences coursing through the track's veins, but "9K" sits outside all those influences. What's more is the way Secundus' production skirts between so many different styles that suggest we could be seeing a lot more crossovers between hip-hop and grime in time to come. We're predicting big things in the murky future for D A V E, so keep those ears wax-free for this south-east London MC.
