Chance the Rapper is at it again. According to The Fader, the Chicago multi-talent is returning to the screen in a short-form murder mystery movie called Slice about the death of a pizza delivery driver. The project, which was just announced and will apparently be released next year, will be directed by Austin Veseley who provided the direction for Surf's Chance-starring "Sunday Candy" video in April. (Vesely has also directed videos for Vic Mensa and singer Eryn Allen Kane.)
Slice will be Chance's second starring role after he appeared in a 23-minute piece called Mr. Happy in March.
A promotional Instagram account for Slice dates back almost a year but was just resurrected with hints of the Chance announcement earlier this week.
UPDATE 06/25/2015:
Director Austin Veseley just clarified that Slice is a feature film, which makes the news all the more exciting.
Just so everybody knows, #SLICE is actually a feature-length no holds barred action-packed thrill ride, not a short film.
