Vicktor Taiwò's influences—Sade, Corinne Bailey Rae, Radiohead, Thom YorkeBrian Eno—come through strong on his sonically dramatic debut, JUNO. Premiering on Complex today is "Fade," the latest drop from the EP, and it is yet another look inside the mind of this exciting new British talent.

"'Fade' is a song that was created two years ago that I wanted to give some attention to," Taiwò told Complex. "I think giving space to and for your past inside your present, is vital. For me, it's necessary to be transparent and public about the process of music, of creating, of being exactly where you are, having the freedom in your creative life, without pressure or external dictation. 'Fade' is a part of my sound that I deeply enjoy, though it may not continue to be a part of my sonic language. It's okay to honour art from your past and share it in your present—even if it might not be a part of your future in its current form."

Listen to the track below and copy JUNO when it's released on June 16. You can also catch Vicktor Taiwò in NYC, on May 8, as part of the Annie O Music Series.
