Premiere: Listen to Kill Them With Colour’s Notorious B.I.G. Flip “Roll Wit Em”

Happy Birthday, Biggie.

Kill Them With Colour’s trap-pop original “Always Somethin” peaked at #1 on Hype Machine in August of last year, but it was a string of transformative remixes that made him a mainstay on the charts. The Toronto-based producer (real name: Wesley Marsh) has shared a brand new flip to help celebrate the life of the legend Notorious B.I.G. on what would have been his 43rd birthday.

“Roll Wit Em” opens with a nostalgic quote from Big, and then mutates the classic cut “Sky’s The Limit” into an ethereal banger with a reverb-soaked boom-bap and a playful synth melody.

“I came across these quotes from Biggie, and wanted to turn them into a remix somehow,” Marsh told Complex. “I started with that as the intro, and it quickly became more of an old school feeling summer vibe remix.”

You can catch Kill Them With Colour performing live at Bestival in Toronto on Saturday, June 13th. Listen to the Notorious B.I.G. tribute “Roll Wit Em” below.

Happy Birthday, Biggie.
