Legendary R&B singer Percy Sledge has passed away at the age of 73 today. According to ABC, Sledge was battling cancer for years before his death. Sledge, who is best known for his 1966 timeless hit "When a Man Loves a Woman," enjoyed countless success throughout his career, including an induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2005.

"When a Man Loves a Woman" spent multiple weeks at the top of the charts in 1966 and is considered one of the greatest songs of all-time. In 1989, Sledge received the Pioneer Award from the Rhythm and Blues Foundation, and was later inducted into the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame. From 1966 through 1969, Sledge saw his career reach a special peak when he had 13 songs chart in the top 100 of the charts during the time span. A collection of his best songs can be found below.
