With a debut album from George FitzGerald finally on its way, we now have a video for the album's first single, "Crystallise". It's not quite as club-friendly as you might expect (or indeed hope) from FitzGerald, but the powerful vocals and laid-back synths leave it open to a remix that could take things into harder territory. Supposedly, the visuals themselves were inspired by Peaking Lights and their "Cosmic Logic" video (directed by Joe Mortimer) and as FitzGerald explains, he just had to have that style of animation to bring "Crystallise" to life. "With 'Crystallise' being quite an ethereal and mysterious track," he tells The FADER, "I thought a similarly abstract, hand-drawn approach would fit perfectly with the track." And indeed, it does. "Crystallise" is taken from the producer's Fading Love LP; it's out on April 28 via Domino.
