Bass music is truly global. Not too many genres can have two French producers (Big Dope P and Feadz) dropping a collaboration on a Glasgow-based imprint (Nightwave's Heka Trax) that features a booming footwork remix from a Chicago-based footwork master (TEKLIFE's DJ Earl). This happened, and it's vanglorious.

Taken from Big Dope P's recently-released Hit Da Blokk EP, the original "Momma On Da Flo" is more of a 2AM, vibes-induced house cut that shows how perfectly P and Feadz can integrate trap sounds and hip-hop influence all over their cuts. Earl, who im some aspects has picked up where DJ Rashad left off, gives this cut the signature TEKLIFE rumble, some "Percolator"–esque sticking points, and makes sure to keep the original's vocals in tact and right in your face. Footwork's dynamic syncopation is made for dancers with nimble feet, and it's pulsating nature will make sure that a number of sweats are broken before it's over.

Hit Da Blokk also features remixes from Rustie and Ikonika, and if you're smart, you'll grab the vinyl version (when it's available), which also features a Jersey club remix from DJ Tim Dolla
