Just about everyone and their mum has been queuing up to work with R&B songstress du jour Tinashe, so Redlight was pretty darn lucky to get hold of her for his new single "Pretend". (Though, with Redlight's current run of successful singles, she can't have needed too much persuading). "Pretend" continues largely where "9Ts" and "Gold Teeth" left off, with its rigid minimalist beat and lethargic roll, but Tinashe's vocals are much, much more lively than the vocal turns on the aforementioned cuts. There's still a subdued feel to the delivery, but Tinashe keeps the listener's attention more readily than her predecessors. Listen to the track down below.
