It's official, Jacob Hoggard will host the 2015 JUNOs. The Hedley front man is excited to shine the spotlight on Canadian music. “It's an honour to host this prestigious celebration of Canadian music,” Hoggard told CTV. “I'm excited to see some amazing performances, make a bit of a mess backstage, and help hand out some JUNO Awards in the Hammer!”

Hoggard isn’t a stranger to the beloved award show. The Canadian band has taken home 2 trophies to date, and is nominated for another 3 this year. But an acceptance speech and hosting are two different beasts. The 30-year-old musician promises a “fun, off-the-cuff” night, bringing his best comedic gold.

The JUNOs have flip-flopped between musicians and comedians like William Shatner and Russell Williams, but this is a music award so it’s great to see a singer hosting again this year. Hoggard is joining the hosting ranks of Drake, Michael Bublé, Nelly Furtado, Alanis Morissette, Shania Twain, Barenaked Ladies, and Celine Dion.

Hoggard has come a long way since finishing third on the second season of Canadian Idol back in 2004. In recent years Hoggard has proven himself as a pop rock artist. Nominated for Juno Fan Choice Award, Single Of The Year for “Crazy for You”, and Album Of The Year for “Wild Life,” it’s a big year for Hedley and Hoggard.

The JUNOs will take place March 15 in Hamilton, Ontario.
