Kick Back To The Sounds Of Azedia's "Kin"

The mysterious duo shift gears to deliver a laidback house number.

Apparently the cool thing these days is to remain completely anonymous, to be a sort of artistic superhero whose identity is known only to a select few confidantes who will inevitably end up in the clutches of some master villain. The latest mild-mannered musicians are a duo called Azedia and they've just shared this brand new track, "Kin". This new track marks something of a shift in style for Azedia, eschewing the dubstep lean of past efforts in favour of a chillwave-inspired piece of house. It's super laidback, almost to the point of being horizontal, but the big percussive snaps add a healthy pace to the track without obscuring the soft synth washes and brittle melody. "Kin" is taken from their upcoming record Form, which is due out on February 2. Take a listen to it below.
