New Orleans rapper Pell is gearing up for big things in 2015, and that begins with his plans to tour the country, which Complex reveals exclusively today. Pell will join UK artist Kindness on the road beginning in February, with stops in Los Angeles, Seattle, Chicago, and New York. He'll also be performing at this year's BUKU Music + Art Project in his hometown.
"It’s a great opportunity for me to be able to perform on a larger platform, especially with an artist that I admire and enjoy like Kindness," Pell told Complex. "I’m excited to watch him perform every night and perform my own music for new audiences.”
Along with the tour announcement, Pell also shares "Phantoms in Space," a record that was available for stream on his website back in December for a few days before being taken down. Now, the 21-year-old rapper releases it for free. "Phantoms in Space" features a noticeable flip of Tame Impala's "Mind Mischief," which Pell cleared with the band personally before releasing the melodic track. “'Phantoms' is a song that narrates my life over the past six months or so, I wanted the fans to have it for free starting off the new year,” he adds.
