It's intriguing to note that the onslaught of young American dance producers that sailed into EDM on the wave of moombahton are starting to get appreciably weirder by the minute. It's not that moombahton is dead, but that these young artists musical tastes are maturing. One such producer, Orlando's Big Makk, has evolved to also include the alias Samisoni, where he is exploring a much funkier g-house style, expressed through his just-released reworking of OVO-affiliated emcee ILoveMakonnen's single "I Don't Sell Molly No More." Taken from the traphouse to the acid house, this one bears a dubby melody and throbbing bassline that feels like dancing in a rubber room at 6AM. Not yet available for download, this one will likely end up in the hands of more than a few tippy-top tier selectors this winter.
