After Future performed at the 2014 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix last year, a member of his crew, DJ Esco, ended up spending 56 days in a Dubai jail after being arrested for marijuana possession at a nearby airport. Two weeks ago, he posted a video to Instagram after being released and today, told his own story to The Fader about his time spent locked up overseas. Essentially, after the crew picked up some weed in Amsterdam, they traveled to Abu Dhabi to perform but upon arrival, Esco and the crew's cameraman had a run in with security.

“I was not intentionally trying to bring weed to Abu Dhabi,” he explained. "And if I would have known the rules and laws they got over there, I would have quadruple checked my bag and made sure there wasn’t a piece of weed." Airport security forced the crew's cameraman to delete every photo taken in the airport and checked all of Esco's bags after reviewing everyone's passports. Security eventually found a small amount of weed in Esco's bags and he ended up getting locked up for 56 days. It's a wild story in his own words, which you can read over at The Fader now.
