Doctor Jeep, who you might know as one of the recent standouts of the revered New York City bass music institution known as Trouble & Bass, dropped his Angel EP last month. While it came with some heavy hitting remixes from Bristol based Archive and Flava D, the first lady of Butterz, this new remix of “Angel” from Vancouver duo GREAZUS (aka HxdB and Patrik Cure) takes the title track into a footwork-meets-jungle-meets-minimal-techno realm and gives a new perspective on Doctor Jeep’s bubbly synth lead and that coldly robotic voice chanting the name of the tune. It's just as haunting as the original, but with some extra bassweight added to really get the dance going.
