According to Spotify, These Are the Most Popular Songs, Artists, and Albums of 2014

With 2014 coming to a close, it's time for everyone to break out their end of the year music lists, and Spotify is ready to give their spin on the topic, calculating the most popular artists, albums, and songs based on their streaming data. The likes of Katy Perry, Ed Sheeran, Ariana Grande, Beyoncé, Eminem, and many more are of course all present through the various categories, with Sheeran actually winning the award for "Top Male Artist" and "Best Album" based on their streaming data.

The major name missing from the entire list is Taylor Swift, and though Spotify claims that they didn't interfere with the numbers to keep Swift out, it's hard to believe that the top selling artist of 2014 didn't make her way into any of these categories. Spotify and Swift have been publicly feuding as of late, which lead Swift to remove her music from the streaming service. The full list of categories can be viewed below.
