We introduced you to Lost Midas back in July. At that time we were premiering a new video for the lead single from his latest album Off The Course; now we've got the premiere of a rework of that album's title track by fellow west coast producers The Seshen. The result is gorgeous.
It's a melody that is distinctive, yet fragile, like a last beautiful dream before your alarm goes off. The construction of the music is as if California met the UK. It's got that West Coast wistfulness over deep grime style percussion.
The very well-curated Tru Thoughts label will be releasing this and the original on January 5 in the UK and the rest of the world and January 13 in the US. I guess there are perks to living in Canada after all.
