Tonight, Boxed stalwarts Mr. Mitch, Slackk, Oil Gang and Local Action's Tom Lea will be joined by E.M.M.A, The Square's Lolingo and Sharp Veins, as they take over Dalston's Hysteria venue. The upstairs room will be dominated by E.M.M.A's Emerald City club night and will see guest sets from Loom, Parris, Etch and more, while the rest of the Boxed man dem (and Mumdance) will be taking to the decks in the main room downstairs.
The Boxed collective have long been heralded as the champions of forward-thinking instrumental grime. Combining futuristic melodies and abstract productions with the off-kilter lurch of grime, they are right at the forefront of grime's new wave.
