Beanie Sigel was reportedly shot earlier today in Pleasantville, N.J. NBC Philadelphia is reporting that Sigel, who was released from federal prison in August, is currently in surgery after suffering a gunshot wound to his back (Police originally said he was shot in the stomach). His attorney says that Sigel was returning home from dropping his kids off at school and that it appears Sigel was not the intended victim.
The shooter is currently in custody.
Update: The Philly Inquirer is reporting that Sigel was rushed to the hospital with "life-threatening" injuries after a bullet hit his abdomen and exited through his back.
