Mike Skinner's new protégé gets ritualistic.

Not too long ago, we featured a new video from The D.O.T. (Mike Skinner's post-Streets project) which featured the vocals of a new rapper named Oscar #worldpeace. And, since then, Skinner has seemingly made it his life mission to make sure that everyone knows the name of his new protégé. Oscar's new single, "Cult", comes in the wake of his last release, "Mook", laying the groundwork for the new single to propel him headlong into the big time.

The video is a glimpse of the grittier side of London, with Mike Skinner handling not just the spoken word vocals at the start, but also much of the direction. But that's not to say this is a downtrodden lament of London's inequality; this is more of a call to arms with a trappy first act followed up by a down-and-dirty grime section with a little nod to Dizzee Rascal's "Respect Me" nearing the end of the track. Watch the Complex UK premiere of Oscar #worldpeace's "Cult" video, down below. His EP of the same name will drop later this year.
