Mr. Mitch's new "Oh" track continues in roughly the same vein as some of his more recent cuts, pushing forward the surrealist edge to his particular brand of grime—albeit with a slightly more upbeat tone. As ever, Mitch keeps the loose structure of grime, as well as the occasional grimey synth stab, but it's all about the space here. The priority is to let the plinky, glass-like production and silky soft vocal samples breathe and expand.
All this comes in the midst of a great deal of hype surrounding Mr. Mitch's forthcoming debut album for Planet Mu, Parallel Memories (December 1).
