Kendrick Lamar Performed a New Verse On Stage With Prince Last Night In Minneapolis

The concert was in support of Prince's two new albums.

Last night, Prince celebrated the release of his new albums with a special live-streamed event in Minneapolis that focused on the history of the legendary Paisley Park estate that included interviews with some of Prince's most recent collaborators.

Towards the end of the stream, Prince finally emerged onto the stage to perform a handful of songs (three, actually) that included a rare performance of "What's My Name," which was included in the 1998 box set, Crystal Ball. To make it even more special, Prince brought out Kendrick Lamar, who added a brand new verse to the song, which is apparently one of a few collaborations that Prince and Kendrick have in the stash.

No word was given on if or when these tracks will ever see the light of day, but based on how good the above performance sounded, hopefully the wait won't be that long. Both of Prince's new albums are available to stream right here.
