A Houston Radio Station Has Rebranded Itself to Play Nothing But Beyoncè's Music

The Beyoncè takeover has gone to the next level.

Members of the illustrious #BeyHive have scored another victory in their quest for world domination. Local Houston news radio station News92 closed it's doors yesterday, posting a statement on their site citing "poor ratings performance and significant financial losses." Radio One, the company who owned the station, has since rebranded the station to play nothing but music by Beyoncè

In a statement to ABC13 in Houston, Radio One representative Yashima Azilove says that "[Beyoncè is] Queen Bee. In looking to make a transition, we go back to what we know," said Azilove. "We know urban radio. We're in Houston, the combination seemed like a winning one."

Even though it seems crazy, Radio One's reasoning is quite solid. Beyoncè is from Houston, and its not only safe but it seems like a no-brainer to show love to one of the cities brightest stars. The station will have all five Beyoncè albums to choose from, which doesn't quite equal 24 hours of content but will probably please her fans anyway. One might ponder if the station will go deeper and eventually add the full Destiny's Child catalog, but for now Beyoncè fans in Houston have a new favorite radio station.
