After releasing the trailer for his new album, The Album About Nothing, Wale has released the first single from the project. "The Body" which features R&B crooner Jeremih is a slow song in the vein of Wale's other singles such as "Lotus Flower Bomb," which has the rapper comparing his woman's body to numerous different objects.
Wale approaches the song differently than usual, switching between a sing-song flow and straight rapping with clever lines like "Pardon if I'm road ragin, but I know you heard my drive is crazy." The song also flips R.Kelly's "You Remind Me Of Something" which keeps up the Chicago connection between Jeremih, who retools the chorus for new listeners. Listen to the song below.
