Rory Graham, aka Rag 'N' Bone Man, is everything you should love in a blues singer: he's big, beardy, and looks like he could've been a convict in 1930s America. His voice, on the other hand, is unexpectedly melodic; though it by no means lacks power. The original version of "Life In Her Yet", which appears on the Londoner's free Wolves EP, is a moody, piano-led lament, and it has now been completely rebuilt from the bottom up by Spectrasoul. The remix gives the track an entirely different tone; the simple piano riff and spacious drums are swapped for a minimal drum & bass percussive line that explodes into a low-end rumble of bass and breaks that would make Aphrodite or DJ Fresh tremble.
