Virginia’s own LAKIM has been a DAD favorite in 2014. He wow’d us with his debut album This Is Her and his sets at SXSW and in doing so, showcased why he’s a talent to enjoy now, but also to watch for in the future. To that end, he capped his summer with a two minute beat fittingly titled “Summer’s End.” The track has that summer-y slowness but it’s met with soothing samples conjuring up a straightforward marching yet relaxing vibe. The track itself oozes a chilled out yet assured swag not unlike how the Soulection-affiliate actually carries himself. LAKIM is one chill dude from my experience and and this track embodies that in this way.
