A lot of festival trap sounds the same. In fact, most tracks with the descriptor “festival” are the same and suck. Thankfully, Mad Decent’s secret weapon Boaz Van de Beatz didn’t name include the word festival in it and instead just made a enormously sized banger suited for inter-planetary war. “Warrior” is the sonic manifestation of a tribal red-alert with it’s winding high-register dutch synths, smacking snares, and Kalibwoy’s galvanizing battle cry. “Warrior” is slated to be a part of Boaz’s upcoming Mad Decent EP later this year, and will have an accompanying music video dropping on Friday.
