Mic Kurb recently dropped "Always On Time," his first release in months and a shift in sound compared to his gloomier past work. The teenager is one of the leading voices in AliveSinceForever, a budding group of creative folk founded by Corpus Christi artist Kevin Abstract, who recently released an impressive free album, MTV1987. Kurb's single, which features Abstract, takes cues from that project's lighter moments with sunny strings.
The breezy track reflects New England summers at MiC's home in Connecticut, spent chasing after love and pursuing his musical passions. "I thought I found a Keri Hilson who could knock me down," he says, longing for the companion he had lost.
