FaltyDL has been a name steadily spreading his wings on the heady, almost experimental, electronic music tip for a number of years now and has been fairly critically lauded for his work. But in a move that I think scratches more heads than normal, he's dropped a preview of a new tune through web pornography hot spot, PornHub. The preview of "In The Wild," forthcoming on his new In The Wild LP due in August on Ninja Tune, is ambient and only a minute and a half long.
Why drop this on Pornhub? We've seen numerous other avenues becoming spots to debut official projects, most notably in recent months being BitTorrent. But this is just weird and doesn't really seem to be getting a ton of plays. He did drop a full preview of another album cut, "Some Jazz Shit," on his SoundCloud and announced a late summer tour as well. So it wasn't a total wash of weirdness.
