Ellie Goulding has been heralded as one of the true sirens for the EDM scene. Something about her voice allows her to sit perfectly on atop of a number of beats. DJ Fresh, on the other hand, has been steadily climbing the mountain. Since striking out on his own after a legendary run with Bad Company, he's continued to delve deeper into the EDM hierarchy. With Ellie sounding great over drum & bass, we guess it was only a matter of time before she linked with DJ Fresh, with his forthcoming single "Flashlight" highlighting the best of their talents. Ellie soars on this beat, which stays at dnb tempo but dips everywhere from more half-time vibes to more straight-forward breakneck speeds. It feels like a hit (in the UK, at least), and has already been christened as Zane Lowe's "Hottest Records In The World." Feels like another winner for Fresh. "Flashlight" drops via Ministry of Sound on September 28.
