A number of rap albums entered the charts for the first time this week, including Ab-Soul's These Days..., which debuted at No. 11 on the Billboard 200 with just under 22,000 copies sold. This tally is an improvement on his 2012 album, Control System, which sold 5,300 copies in its abbreviated three-day debut release. However, these numbers pale in comparison to his Black Hippy counterparts ScHoolboy Q and Kendrick Lamar, who both broke the six figure mark with their respective releases.

G-Eazy's debut album These Things Happen fared better, selling 46,000 copies in its first week to land at No. 3 on the charts, while RiFF RAFF's NEON iCON debuted at No. 22 with 11,000 copies sold. The big winner this week though was Ed Sheeran, whose new album x took the top spot with 210,000 copies sold. Sheeran's sophomore release boasts production from Pharrell and Rick Rubin.
