Jon Connor has been on the up-and-up for some time now. His announcement of his Aftermath singing has only added more steam to his trajectory, but at the same time, this kind of thing has given him a high bar to clear. Connor stopped by Complex to discuss what it's like being on such a storied label, and living up to what seem like impossible expectations (consider: Aftermath is the same label that had a gave the world Eminem, 50 Cent and Kendrick Lamar). Needless to say, the guy whose name is inspired by the savior of the post-apocalyptic world has his work cut out for him.

In addition to explaining how he actually ended up on Dr. Dre's label, Jon Connor also detailed for us what it's like being an emcee from Michigan, and looks back on the impact of Proof, D12, and other rappers that put on for the Wolverine State. Check it out above.
