According to the Observer, hip-hop's go-to jeweler, Jacob Arabo and his company have been implicated for illegal gold mining practices in Swaziland, Africa. The report states that a current employee of the company, Beke Janel, is currently imprisoned for holding 27kg of illegally mined gold.

Jacob and Co. have a license to mine for gold in the Northern Hhohho region of the country, according to the report. However, the company has been accused of illegally mining in the Lufafa Mountain region of the country, which is supposedly only an area where the company could prospect for gold, but not actually mine. Any gold found in this area is supposed to be turned over to the government, which Jacob and Co. reportedly did not do.

It's unclear of what charges Arabo could directly face from these allegations at this time, but this isn't the first time that he's been in hot water. In 2008 Arabo was convicted of money laundering charges and served a total of two years in prison.

Stay tuned for more details on this story as they become available.
