Chuck D has had it with the state of urban radio. The issue first arose when Chuck spoke about about the prolific use of the n-word at Hot 97's Summer Jam. He also didn't think the lineup for the festival properly showcased New York hip-hop.

Billboardrecently spoke with Chuck D, leading to him saying that he wants to change the face and sound of urban radio.

Though Chuck has engaged with Ebro and Peter Rosenberg on Twitter about his frustrations, he said the discussion needs to be brought up with their bosses and not them. He also stated that he won't be sitting down with them to talk about the issues, but he will continue to voice his frustrations and speak about the situation.
