Rumors surrounding the incident between Solange and Jay Z in an elevator at the Standard Hotel last week are beginning to surface. According to a report by the New York Daily News, Solange allegedly became upset with Jay Z when he left the Standard's Met Gala after party to attend Rihanna's after party. The problem? Beyoncé wasn't going with him.
Apparently, Jay's crew called ahead and said he "didn't need extra security" because Beyoncé wouldn't be attending. Tensions were already high after some of Solange's guests tried using Jay's name to get into the party. The source for the Daily News says Solange asked Jay, "Why can't you go home?" She also asked Beyoncé, "Why does your husband need to go to the club right now?" to which Jay allegedly replied, "You're one to talk." And that's what sparked the drama.
