I'll keep it so 100 right now: if it wasn't for Pigeons & Planes and the remix work of tons of electronic music producers, I doubt I'd ever have listened to one Lana Del Rey song. She's one of those performers where either the popularity songs or her celebrity make it easy for producers to latch on to. These "West Coast" remixes are no exception, although the UK-tilt on the reworks is key. First up is Four Tet, who abandons the more leftfield properties of his material and turns in a bass-driven, club-rocking piece of hypnotic house, while Camo & Krooked take the tune on a really stripped-back, delicate take on the track. It feels like a drum & bass tune, but the lack of upfront bass and drums (with an emphasis on guitar and vibes) make this one a truly interesting take. Listen to both down below.
