Big Boi has announced a deal with Epic Records today. Big Boi, whose last two solo albums came out via Def Jam, signed the deal the day after his first performance on Coachella alongside OutKast partner André 3000. Joining Epic allows him to reunite with chairman and CEO L.A. Reid, who signed OutKast at LaFace records and then signed Big Boi when he was the CEO of Island Def Jam.

Big Boi is currently working on a solo album and a collaboration album with Phantogram. He plans on releasing some new music while on tour during OutKast's reunion festival tour this summer. He made the announcement while in New York City, where he performed for Grey Goose's Le Melon flavor launch at the Manhattan Cocktail Classic.
