Calling this new tune from UK newcomer ZZZ a "Jersey club" tune is a bit much, but you can't help but notice the obvious influences. What this "Honey" track really feels like to me is a huge breathe of fresh air. Dropped for free via a collaborative release between TrapDoor Records and Die High Records, ZZZ comes with something pretty freaking outstanding for the hot as fire future/club world. Sure, you've got elements in here influenced by the likes of Flume, Rustie, Wave Racer, etc... but the patience shown throughout the track's development and the overall forward thinking on the layering and chops during the meat and potatoes section, my jaw is basically on the floor. Feels like the bar has officially been raised.
