Following Nirvana's performance at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony last night at Barclays center, Dave Grohl, Pat Smear, and Krist Novoseli headed over to St. Vitus in Brooklyn for a surprise, invite-only show.

According to Noisey EIC Fred Pessaro, who was in attendance, the surviving members of Nivana took the stage around 2:30 a.m. last night. The 230-capacity venue was packed, and Joan Jett gave tribute to the fallen Kurt Cobain on stage while other special guests took to the stage including Annie Clark of St. Vincent, John Mccauley of Deer Tick, J. Mascis of Dinosaur Jr. and Kim Gordon of Sonic Youth.
