DAD's not one to look a gift horse in the mouth; if a producer wants to give away some bangers, we're more than happy to accept them. We do wonder what made Mat Zo go from releasing Damage Control via Astralwerks / Anjunabeats just last year to now, in his words, "releasing music for free from now on." He made some brief tweets about it, but in the Facebook post below, he's made allusions to not having to wait for his music to come out, and reaching more people giving material out for free than via Beatport or iTunes. Not saying there was some conflict there at all, but we wonder what sparked this new shift in aesthetic. And like we said, if this results in more material like the beautiful house ditty "Oldskool Trip" to be given away for free, we're all for it!
