Mariah Carey Announces New Album "Me. I Am Mariah...The Elusive Chanteuse"

In 2014 trying to "Beyoncé the game" is an actual thing, as more and more artists are going with her route of a surprise album release. Mariah Carey is the latest artist attempting to drop their album out of nowwhere. She recently told Billboard magazine that she will be releasing her album title, tracklist, and music all in one day via digital release. The album, which she has been working on since 2010, will then hit retail stores the following week.

Mariah also revealed that along with working with Jermaine Dupri on the album, she has also been in the studio with Hit-Boy and Mike WiLL Made It, and that Wale, Nas, and Trey Songz will be featured on the album.

Update: Mariah announced today that she'll be released Me. I Am Mariah…The Elusive Chanteuse on May 27 in a trailer. It will feature “Beautiful," and “The Art of Letting Go,” as well as features from Nas, Wale, Fabolous, Mary J. Blige and more. Watch the trailer below; so much for a surprise release:
