On the 20th anniversary of the release of Nas' debut album, Illmatic, NahRight and UpNorthTrips have come together to release a tribute mixtape. Featured on the project are fourteen New York rappers that represent the future of the city, such as Smoke DZA, Bodega Bamz, and Troy Ave. Each of the rappers takes on a song from the original album and three of the remixes.

Razor-sharp lyricism is on display here, proving that the city's future is bright. And while the earlier entries on the project may stand out because they cover the original album, don't sleep on the last couple of songs either. The Bronx's YC The Cynic shines on the Butcher's mix of "Halftime," for example. "I'm paying respects to one of the greatest/And they ain't even give me 24 hours to make this/Imagine what I could do in a whole career's time?" YC says.

Check out the mixtape below and download it here. New York City did God's Son proud with this one.
