Rap bloggers: Can't live with them, can't live without them. On the one hand, they provide the respectable service of keeping people up on all things hip-hop. However, as some become popular, the job comes with the usual brush of ego and celebrity many believe they have earned because of their digital footprint. But behind those snappy tweets about Kanye West and needless posts that describe whatever the hell is happening in the new episode of "Weezy Wednesdays," there's a story to be told from a blogger's perspective. Read on below, as we chronicle a typical day in the life of a rap blogger.

***

9 a.m.: Wake up to my alarm, which is Young Thug’s “Eww.” Because obviously.

9:01 a.m.: Check Twitter timeline and email for any missed submissions overnight. Don’t want anyone to know I sleep at night sometimes.

9:10 a.m.: Check the live stats for my blog. How did that new YG song from last night not do huge numbers? People are sleeping on Compton’s new golden child.

9:15 a.m.: Make a pot of coffee. Today’s going to be a long day of posting and subtweeting other rap blogs.

9:32 a.m.: Oh damn, a 50 Cent record leaked early! Gotta post quick, then share my thoughts on Twitter on why he’s making a huge comeback with Animal Ambition. G G G G-Unit!

9:48 a.m.: Great, a new Lil B freestyle, this one about his love for rainbows. The Based God is a misunderstood dude, but I appreciate his wisdom nonetheless.

10:12 a.m.: Checking out this submission from a rapper named Chloroform Cris. He sounds like the new Z Money, but less lyrical. I like it.

10:30 a.m.: Drake just sent out a cryptic tweet that read “Fondue Blues.” He must be planning to release something later today. I’ll add notifications for Word on Road on my iPhone just in case.

11:02 a.m.: I can’t believe Lil Twist got a verse from Ludacris on his new record. I guess Luda will do anything for a paycheck these days.

11:03 a.m.: The other blogs posted the new Chloroform Cris track. I knew it was going to be a hit.

11:40 a.m.: Capitol Records just sent me a cease and desist email for the 50 Cent record. Don’t they understand I’m helping Curtis gain back his street cred?

12:20 p.m.: Gucci Mane released another mixtape. How much music does this dude have hiding in the vaults? And is he out of jail yet or nah?

12:53 p.m.: Pretty quiet afternoon, so it’s time to take a lunch break. Spam and rice on the menu, just like yesterday.

1:15 p.m.: Lil Wayne just teased a new track on Instagram. Sounds like it features Paris Hilton, though it might also be Chanel West Coast. Hard to tell the difference between the two.

1:37 p.m.: Locked in a premiere with Denzel Curry. I can already imagine the pageviews I’m about to rack up from this post. Ad dollars in the bank.

2:05 p.m.: Blogs are just now posting this Styles P track? Psst, I did that yesterday. These dudes are SUPER late.

2:25 p.m.: What the hell?! I premiered the new Denzel Curry video and no one linked back to me. I’m emailing them right now and demanding they list me as the source, otherwise I’ll put them on blast to my 2,549 Twitter followers. Only way these fuckboys will learn.

2:40 p.m.: Drake shared an Instagram pic, this time referencing the Toronto Raptors. I bet he’s got an anthem ready for game day tomorrow.

2:52 p.m.: Don’t know how much longer I can stand the Migos flow, but this new song from them is fire. If only they would release Y.R.N. 2.

3:14 p.m.: I was the first to post the new Young Scooter track. Gonna let the other blogs know on Twitter that they need to catch up. Ha!

3:37 p.m.: Trinidad Jame$ is really trying to rap over reggae beats. Hopefully he doesn’t try to freestyle over them.

4:20 p.m.: Perfect timing for this new Curren$y track to come out. Blaze up.

5 p.m.: The blog day is finished now that night relief is finally online. Putting Sade on repeat until tomorrow morning to do it again.

4:03 a.m.: New Drake came out. Fucking owl hours.
