Bed-Stuy's own Papoose keeps finding miraculous ways to stay in the news. In a recent inexplicable interview with the New York Daily News, Papoose again took the opportunity to claim the throne of New York. “Nobody is better than me — Jay-Z, nobody,” said Papoose. “None are more lyrically inclined than me. None of them. I’m definitely the king of New York. I am the greatest out of New York.”
Pap also touches on his plan to release a new project every month, saying "I don’t feel like there’s no artist out there doing that.” At this point, the Daily News reminds you that Papoose has dropped one album since his arrival in 2005, and that album, The Nacirema Dream, sold 17,000 copies.
As is usual with stories about Papoose, he also touches on his incarcerated wife, Remy Ma, who is due for a July 31 release: “I want to take her out to eat.”
No word on when Pap's next project is dropping.
